Scalp Micro Pigmentation
Since 2011, we do hair pigmentation in Turkey. Ink or pigment used for this application is extracted from madder plant, which is the base of almost every dye. Pigments are widely used in several industries such as textile and printery. However, inks of medical pigmentation are produced in laboratories and they contain special materials manufactured for subcutaneous tissue. With medical pigmentation, we do not only simulate hair in subcutaneous tissue, but also we hide scars from previous surgery or hair transplantation by FUT. When should you have medical pigmentation or hair simulation? You should have medical pigmentation, when treatment for hair stimulation is not sufficient, or when you need complementary treatment after hair transplantation. Customers, who visit our clinic, are those, who previously had hair transplantation, however who could not get intended results, or those who are no more suitable for hair transplantation since they no more have donor hair left.
We started doing hair pigmentation, with Hair Pigmentations label, in Turkey in 2011. As the first company that starts doing hair pigmentation worldwide, we profited from our tattooing experiences. We have a special business approach from the very first day, and we are determined to keep up this standard, since we value human health, aesthetics, naturality and durability. We promise to do our best in order not to disappoint our customers, who visit our clinic in Istanbul, Turkey, or who visit our contracted clinic abroad.
Translated as hairline tattoo into Turkish, this application is worldwide known as Hair Pigmentation, Micro Hair Pigmentation, Scalp Micro Pigmentation, Scalp Pigmentation.
In 2010, hair tattoo was started in England, and since it has globalised. At first sight, it might be thought as a rival to hair transplantation, however, on the contrary, hair tattoo is complementary to hair transplantation.
Hair transplantation is a surgical technique that moves individual hair follicles from a part of the body called the ‘donor site’ to a bald or balding part of the body known as the ‘recipient site’. Hair from donor site fall within four months and hair grows on recipient site within four months. However, in some cases, hair follicles either are not suitable or not enough for transfer. In such cases, patients are obliged to use topical or prosthetic hair, or to get used to living with thin hair. Especially in middle age, hair problems may cause psychological problems, since such patients look much older than they actually are. Hair pigmentation is an alternative solution for those, who are not comfortable using topical or prosthetic hair, or who do not want to use such products. With help of hair pigmentation, we can camouflage transplant scars or shade small areas where hair is thinning to make hair appear denser.
Hair pigmentation is essentially the process of having your scalp tattooed with tiny dots that resemble the appearance of stubble, giving you the appearance of a short, ‘buzz-cut’ hairstyle. We do not use coil tattoo machine as used to in regular tattoo. Also needles, inks, degree of sensitivity, and skin tissue to be applied differ from those used for normal tattoo. It is good option for both men and women.
Although short hair obtains the best and natural-looking results, we can apply it to long and thin hair. The frequency of hair pigmentation “dots” are different for long or short hair, or in case of baldness. Unfortunately, due to commercial concerns, some tattoo artists may fool people by using regular tattoo materials, like needles or machines, for scalp micropigmentation.
Hair Pigmentation offers a solution not only for those who have hair loss, but also for those who have other disorders or scars. Alopecia, is a disease, in which hair is lost permanently from some or all areas of the body.
Alopecia has several types; Alopecia Areata, Alopecia Totalis, Alopecia Universalis. The classification is based on the part of body, where hair loss occurs. Hair pigmentation is worldwide known as the best, drug-free solution for alopecia, since it does not have side effects. We can also create moustache or beard with hair pigmentation. Hair pigmentation may be also applied to beardless men. All medications that are used to treat alopecia, unfortunately, change hormone balance. However, alopecia patients and those who want to have hair pigmentation, should investigate clinic and person that would do application thoroughly before having it done. Since a person inexperienced in hair micropigmentation can cause irreversible damages.
You should search through internet or as face-to-face meetings for people or clinics that are experienced in hair micropigmentation. You should justify that photos, videos regarding application used in clinic’s web-site, and see whether or not they are keeping hygienic measures. Although different materials and application methods are used for hair micropigmentation, an experienced and trained tattoo artist should make application, as a prevention to blood-borne diseases.
